20170630 – Friday Night Racing at Alkek Velodrome
A relatively cool evening for racing for Houston, but this was not the case for the races, they were hot…Hot…HOT! With the finale of the Lawson Craddock clinic ending and the start of FNR tonight, the racing was furious with no runaway wins, every race was contested with a sprint finish.

Event: Friday Night Racing aka Wobbly Leg Night
Program: Short, Medium traditional races like Elimination, Point-a-Lap, and Scratch.
First up were the future women of Houston track racing, they left the crowd on their feet with an exciting scratch race with Ayliah and Danielle battling out for a sprint finish.

Now for some current heavy hitters for their scratch race. The leaders were tearing up the track as their competitors began to drop like flies, well, it is a scratch race. In the end, Jennifer took the finish in an epic sprint with Kevin as the crowds banged on the boards.

Masters race pace was set by Philip off the front, but as they group caught up with him, Alex, Joey, Stuart, and Craig put on a blistering pace.
Women’s starting round 2 for the evening with Paige and Meredith up front setting the pace.
No matter how hard the racing is between the lines, every competitor is out to help each other, albeit being pinned, gearing, and tactics. They’re all out to get the best out of each other.
